Our Story

Here at Kamaela's Kreamery, we are devoted to bringing the absolute BEST ice cream to Central Illinois! We adore brightening corners of our community by serving up some of the best ice cream + bringing people together. 

WHERE IT BEGAN

Meet Kami and Mikaela, founders of Kamaela’s Kreamery.  Friends from early childhood, they spent most summers biking up to the local ice cream store & buying fifty-cent cones. (They even had an ice cream themed photo shoot as preteens!) As they grew older, their passion for ice cream and small business collided. In 2018 with the assistance, love, and support of their family and friends, they restored a 1966 Yellowstone Camper into the ice cream trailer of their dreams! Kami & Mikaela enjoyed four summers touring Central Illinois in Little Dipper.

Life is always changing, and it’s no different in ice cream! After Mikaela married and moved out of state, Kami took over the business and continues to spread ice cream and joy across Central Illinois today with the help of her team.

 With continuing pop-ups and private parties, Kami continues to dream up new ideas. Kamaela’s goal remains the same: to brighten corners of our community by serving up some of the best ice cream around.
